Produced by A J Wilkinson in the Pastoral Davenport pattern as well as under Royal Staffordshire by Clarice Cliff and called Rural Scenes, this charming platter is perfect year round, for use or display. Features hand painted shade does if green, gold and brick red

This platter depicts a rural English village with thatched roof cottages. Two small children watch on as two men on horseback have come by and one appears to be checking his horses shoe. The border is a stunning blend of berries intertwined amongst greenery and 4 insets of farming tools....very unique and different from most borders which consist of florals or geometric designs. This is one of the most beautiful scenes on transferware ever!

Measures: appx 12" x 9"

Condition is wonderful. No chips, cracks or repairs. There may be some minor crazing present, as is associated with age.
