RARE Black Transferware Teacup & Saucer English Fox Hunt Scene Spode Copeland

$39.99

Brand Copeland Spode

This circa 1930's teacup is part of the Hunt series from Spode Copeland featuring the works of J F Herring, aka The Artist Coachmen, which the Copelands commissioned themselves.  The pieces depict an English hunt scene on the center of the saucer and the inside of the cup.  The scenes are hand painted with shades of green, gold, brown and red. The border is a black, airy design and looks like a seaweed. Really unique and interesting! I

Measures: Saucer is 5 3/4" Cup is appx 3 5/8" x 2 5/8" deep
Condtion: No chips or cracks, a bit of crazing

Excellent addition for a transferware collection or lover of English hunt scenes and hunt country!
