Brand Spode Copeland

VINTAGE Spode Copeland Brown Green Gold

Camilla Italian Plate

HARD TO FIND!!!

Absolutely stunning example of the Italian Continental Series by Spode / Copeland with the Camilla pattern as the border.  This is the first time I've come across them combing if the two patterns and in this Stunning colorway.  The rust-brown transfer features painted touches of gold and green.

VERY Hard to find!

The Camilla pattern was first introduced by Spode in 1833. It was first transfer printed in blue underglaze and later was offered in red, green and brown, of which is the rarest to find in this pattern.

The pattern name/depiction is thought to be derived from the Tea plant Camellia Sinensis
