For consideration is this lovely, vintage oversized joke cup and saucer with an all over floral pattern with pheasants fluttering above the flowers.
Joke cups are very hard to come by as they are so overszied. I am not sure when the term joke came into being for them but for decades these large pieces have been referred to as such. They are very collectible in and of themselves. I have two or three in my personal collection which I use for small plants like ivy, etc. They are lovely just to display or for a nice bowl of soup!
Saucer measures 6" x 3 1/8" tall 5" 5 5/8" handle to rim
Condition: Excellent, no chips or cracks, little crazing
