Round Vintage English Brown Transferware Cake Platter

For consideration is this lovely round chop plate or platter in the pattern entitled Banff by Myott of England. The platter has what is called a cracked ice border as that is what the small geometric shapes are said to look like.  There are tiny flowers scattered intermittently over the “cracked ice”.  The face of the plate depicts a Garden view overlooking a lake in a Mountain setting.  To the left is a large urn of flowers which have been hand painted on blue, red, yellow and green.

This is perfect for cookies or serving a cake.  I put a 10” glass cake cover over it.  You could serve a round cake or pie on it easily and still have the decorative border showing.  Or just use as decor...it's so pretty!


Measures: 13.75"
Condition: No chips or cracks, some typical age crazing is present.
