CLOBBERED  TRANSFER WARE PLATE
Victorian Staffordshire
Ironstone China
Circa 1870

For consideration is this very rare, brown transfer ware plate by  with a central kaleidoscope pattern and hand painted pink and green flowers.  There are more of the flowers and around the rim, so unique in that it resembles cobbled stones, broken glass or ice. The flowers are clobbered (hand enamel applied over the glaze) in shades of pink, purple,  and green.   It is absolutely stunning and a great opportunity to add an exquisite piece to your collection. It is impressed with the words Ironstone China and hand numbered.  The plates have gold highlights, some of which is worn.

Measures: 9"

Condition: No chips or cracks, however of the three listed, one has a stable hairline visible on back but not felt.
