For consideration is this stunning two color transferware handled cream soup cup / bowl and saucer underplate by Copeland Spode in a very rare and difficult to find pattern entitled Beverley. Equally, probably more rare is the 2 color transfer design...a rust floral and scrolled border and black face. The scene depicts young women and a gentleman playing mandolins on the steps of an elaborate coastal garden. Just above the standing girl is a huge urn decorating the column she leans up against. In the distance you see sail boats on the water, the town across the way and mountains in the far off.
