BROWN TRANSFER WARE BREAD / SIDE PLATE
Royal Staffordshire Rural Scenes / Clarice CLiff by A. J. Wilkinson Ltd.

For consideration is this scenic plate depicting an English farmhouse with grazing cows in the foreground and a Mother and her toddler daughter crossing a stream by stepping on large stones. The border is a stunning blend of farm tools, plows, rakes, and shovels intertwined with berries and ivy...also one of the most unique and beautiful borders! And, unlike the majority of Rural Scenes pieces this one features additional hand coloring in the border around the face of the plate and the outer rim. These are seldom found and come from my own collection.  They are really stunning and very special pieces to add to your Rural Scenes / Pastoral Davenport collection.  As well, this scene is harder to find on small plates.

Condition: No chips or cracks, crazing is present

Measures:  6”
