Beautiful, picturesque plate in the highly collectible transferware pattern entitled 'English Scenery'
For consideration here is a lovely, vintage red/pink transferware plate manufactured by Wood & Sons/Woods Ware of Staffordshire England. The plate depicts a rural scene with chickens, and a horse and cart out in front of a blacksmiths shop...further back into the scene is a picket fence and a pond followed by a church. The border is a beautiful blend of lush flowers, I think, perhaps peonies.

Plate measures appx. 10" in diameter. Condition is wonderful...no chips, cracks...minimal crazing (if any)
