Here is an absolutely stunning set of by the above mentioned potter of Staffordshire England. It is a dual handled soup bowl with matching underplate. They feature charming, bucolic scenes set in a rural, alpine landscpe. The scene is a black/grey transfer which has been hand painted with blues, greens, browns, taupes and yellows.
ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL & DESIRABLE OF TRANSFER PATTERNS!
Measures Plate- 6 3/8" Bowl: appx 6 1/2" handle to handle 5" excluding handles x 2 1/4" deep
Condition: No chips or cracks. There is some typical, age related crazing present. There are surface scratches mainly seen in direct light or turned at an angle.
I used my stock photo for the backstamp picture...the stamp on this plate is identical but the hand numbered stamp is different.
