Brand Brown, Westhead and Moore

 This antique Staffordshire plate by Brown Westhead and Moore dates to the 1880's  and features a softly scalloped edge with an intricate  basketweave border.  It depicts loose sprays of pink lilacs on the face. The pink flowers and green leaves are hand painted within the confines of the transfer.  Very rustic and striking color way.

Brown Westhead Moore were manufacturers of high-grade earthenwares and porcelain at Cauldon Place, Hanley (Shelton area), Stoke-on-Trent. Circa 1864-1904.

Measures: 8 1/4”

Condition: Lovely with no chips or cracks, little crazing, subtle surface scratches
